In 2014, the company commissioned the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Environmental Protection, to undertake the environmental impact assessment and prepare the "Environmental Impact Report for the 300,000-ton Refined Sugar, 240,000-ton Refined Sugar Syrup, and 100,000-ton Caramel Color Comprehensive Utilization Project of Guangdong Huatang Industrial Co., Ltd."; In 2022, an expansion was carried out within the existing factory area, and Jiangmen Yikai Environmental Protection Service Co., Ltd. was commissioned to undertake the environmental impact assessment and prepare the "Environmental Impact Registration Form for the 100,000-ton Refined Granulated Sugar and 60,000-ton Rock Candy Expansion Project of Guangdong Huatang Industrial Co., Ltd.". The company now plans to invest a total of 80 million yuan to build a 5,000-ton isomaltulose production line within the existing factory area. The expansion project covers an area of 750m2 and has a construction area of approximately 3,000m2.
